Opportunities for Ministry
Calling Lay Ministers...
There are many opportunities for lay ministry in the Church. The most visible one is Lay Eucharistic Minister. These are the people that vest and help serve communion. But they are not the only ones and even they come in different flavors. These LEMs can also be Lay Eucharistic Visitors, Lay Worship Leaders and Lay Preachers. In addition to LEMs there are also Ushers and the historic Altar Guild. Each play a huge role in the worship and life of The Church. If you have an interest in being part of any of these ministries, please talk to Father David or one of the members of the Vestry.
Coffee Hour hosts The sign-up list for Coffee Hour Hosts is on the information table in the Parish Hall. Duties include set-up, clean-up, making coffee, and providing a light treat, such as muffins or tea bread.
Support church activities Altar Flowers and Sanctuary Lights The sign-up list for donating money toward flowers and sanctuary lights is on the table in the Parish Hall. There is room by your name to include a note, such as "For God's many blessings" or "In honor of ___'s birthday." Altar flowers must be paid before the order will be placed with the florist. Please use the envelopes marked FLOWERS for your payment. You may place your envelope in the collection plate. Flower orders are placed the week before the flowers are to be placed on the altar. (2008: $34.00) Only Sanctuary Lights that have been paid for will be announced in the bulletin. Please use the envelopes marked SANCTUARY LIGHTS for your payment. You may place your envelope in the collection plate. (2008: $2.00)
